From Orange County
Take the 91 freeway east to Interstate 215 To San Bernardino. Remain on I-215 until you are four to five miles north of Interstate 10. Take Highway 30 East (Mountain Resorts) and exit soon (3rd exit) at Waterman Avenue. Go left (north toward the mountains) at the traffic signal at top of exit ramp. After several traffic signals Waterman Avenue turns into (name change) Highway 18 Rim of the World Highway. ( This apply Only for detour: You will rise steadily for the next 15 or so miles. Slower traffic in right lane, passing on left, and crossing over the centerline double yellow a very big no-no! You will detour at the Hwy. 138 Lake Gregory/Crestline. Continue on this "Rim of the World Hwy" (ST HWY 18) pass Cliiffhanger Restaurant.
Pass an exit for Hwy 138 (Crestline/Lake Gregory), great places to pull out that camera or make that cell call :-). Continuing ahead you will pass the community of Rim Forest (commercial shops district, gas station, and various restaurants). Turn left at Daly Canyon/St Hwy 189/Blue Jay Exit, Come to 3 way Stop Sign, go forward, you will be passing through Agua Fria (you will see Mexican Restaurant, Pet Boutique, video store, Chinese Restaurant, nursery,Dr's. office & etc), for about 1/2 mile then it will take you into quaint little town called Blue Jay and we are right in the heart of it on your left hand side. If you see the Blue Jay Theater at the stop sign then you went too far and passed us.
Approximate time from the "base of mountain" (Th and Mountain Ave.) is about 30 minutes.
